12.3. SA Federal Manslaughter Act

Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of an individual without malice, either voluntary (in the heat of passion) or involuntary (through reckless or negligent actions).

Penalty: Up to 15 years imprisonment for voluntary manslaughter, and up to 10 years imprisonment for involuntary manslaughter.
