13.2. SA Federal Attempted Murder Act

Attempting to unlawfully kill another individual, even if the victim survives, is treated as a serious crime under federal law.

Penalty: Up to 25 years imprisonment, with the possibility of life imprisonment if the victim sustains life-threatening injuries.
