15.5. SA Federal Possession of Firearms by Prohibited Persons Act

Convicted felons, individuals under restraining orders, fugitives, or those with mental health disqualifications are prohibited from possessing or acquiring any firearms.

Penalty: Up to 3 years imprisonment, $200,000 fine, and mandatory seizure of all weapons in the individual’s possession.
